Enjoy a Guided Sleep-Like Yoga Practice

WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER. Have you been asking yourself, “What can I do to help make a difference right now?” Join us for a special community event to relieve stress and anxiety, build community, and raise money to help those who may be out of a job and out of income after dedicating their expertise and career to our country. All proceeds will go towards helping those who cannot afford a privilege like a yoga practice right now, or to begin or maintain one when they need it most.
This workshop will begin with Hatha yoga asanas (postures) that strengthen and balance the body, and pranayama (breathing techniques) to bring more awareness to the present moment. A Yin yoga practice will follow, which involves holding passive stretches for 3-5 min to release the deeper connective tissue and fascia of the body to increase flexibility, release tension and cultivate a meditative state. This session will conclude with a long final relaxation that will incorporate iRest yoga nidra, a luxurious sleep-like guided meditation that uses body and breath sensing to foster a state of deep physical rest and high mental receptivity.
In this semiconscious state of relaxation, awareness and self-inquiry, the mind has immense power to sow the seeds of change.
